Quality care for your child.
The Infant Room
From birth to one year
Since the infant room is usually the parent's first experience with childcare, we strive to be a comforting presence in their lives.
Our teachers are dedicated to help the babies reach their developmental milestones, including rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and eventually, walking.
The classroom provides a warm, nurturing environment where each baby is special and babies are encouraged to explore and develop new skills at their own pace. Equipment and toys are safe and age appropriate.
The room arrangement satisfies individual needs by allowing space for eating, sleeping, and playing. The infant room schedule allows flexibility to meet each child’s individual needs.
The Toddler Rooms
Younger Toddlers- Ages 12 months to 18 months
Older Toddlers- Ages 18 months to 24 months
This is the age of great explorations and curiosity. Most toddlers seem to have a no fear policy about them as they explore their surroundings. Daily records; recapping the important items of their day are a must for this age group as they are still napping, diapering and discovering food likes and dislikes.
We address the very active needs of the Toddler by providing a schedule that will satisfy much of their curiosities about the world around them. It has a balanced assortment of quiet and active activities and a time to express their creative juices as well as opportunities for all sensory experiences.
Teachers provide that secure and dependable setting where warmth and nurturing abounds. As with our other classrooms, we address all the developmental domains of the growing Toddler by watching how they are progressing socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively. In addition, teachers work on a trusting and loving relationship with each child. Showing respect, learning to share and helping one another is a pathway to developing caring relationships with adults and with their peers.
The Two Year Old Rooms
Younger Twos- Ages 24 months to 31 months
Older Twos- Ages 31 months to 36 months
Our dedicated teachers use hands-on exploration and social interaction in safe, engaging surroundings to help your two year old learn about his or her expanding world. With structured guidance, your child will enjoy learning experiences that promote their blossoming independence and social skills, and foster self-confidence.

Your two year old will become more independent by learning to feed themselves with utensils, getting themselves to sleep on their own personal cot to prepare for nap time, and taking responsibility with jobs in and around the classroom.

Families work together with teachers to begin the potty training process. We understand each child trains at their own pace, so a unique plan is developed to guide your child to be successful on the potty! With the support from home and school, our two year old children work hard to become independent individuals, understand their sense of self and build positive relationships with others.

The Three Year Old Rooms
Children are preparing themselves for preschool in this classroom and become "big kids!" The children are introduced to cognitive skills and practice making decisions. Science and discovery activities stimulate curiosity as the children learn valuable lessons about themselves and the world around them.
Using The Creative Curriculum and NC Foundations, art and music activities encourage individual expression. Lesson plans include music and movement, creative art, story time, and writing. Teachers implement lesson plans to engage children in learning each day while still having fun and participating in play!

Our teachers guide children to understand right from wrong while maintaining a nurturing and safe environment. Your three year old student will become more independent and begin to discover their own identity, passions, and encourage others around them to do the same.
The Four Year Old Rooms
Preparing for kindergarten
Our four year old students become school-ready by participating in The Creative Curriculum lessons each day. Our teachers customize their instruction to meet each child's individual learning needs by using NC Foundationsto guide their lesson plans. Lessons and activities are built on your child's curiosity, developmental readiness, and educational standards provided through North Carolina.

Your four year old will get ready to go to kindergarten by participating in a "typical" school schedule for a majority of the day even though the main building welcomes children from 6 am to 6 pm. Our second building (SFQCC II) welcomes children from 9 am to 2 pm and is appropriate for families who do not need full time child care.

"Christmas in July" is just one theme brought into our Four Year Old Classrooms that incorporates theme related sensory play, literature, math, and science. Learning in the Fours is so much fun!
