Building Bright Futures (BBF) is a pilot initiative of the North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE), which is a non-profit that operates out of the NC Office of the Governor.
This initiative is funded by a grant from the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE).

Job description
We are looking to hire a Flex Teacher!
This is the perfect opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in Early Childhood Education, parents with kids in school, retired teachers, college students, or anyone else with flexible days during the week! In addition, if you do not hold any childcare or Early Childhood Education credentials, this is the best place to start at our school. Learn, gain experience and get your college education as a Flex Teacher!
To get a headstart on the process, applicants must go to https://ncchildcarecbc.nc.gov to apply for DCDEE/DHHS fingerprinting, get fingerprinted at a local sheriff's office, and obtain a provisional/qualification letter to work in NC childcare. SFQCC will guide you through the process if assistance is needed.
The Flex Teacher will work in a variety of classrooms and age groups. A Flex Teacher is an essential employee at SFQCC.
Flex Teachers are welcome to work part-time or full-time. Full-time employees are entitled to take advantage of all benefits- health insurance, dental and vision benefits, discounted childcare, and paid holidays after six months of employment. Full-time employees also have access to the TEACH Scholarship which covers the cost of college tuition to work towards a degree in ECE, up to three hours of paid study time during work hours, and college textbooks. Training and other mandatory workshops provided and reimbursed through SFQCC. We invest a lot in our teachers and staff. We are looking for someone committed to working in this field long term and willing to grow with the SFQCC family!

In addition, the applicant must be willing to further their ECE degree by working to obtain an associate's degree-- the TEACH scholarship to cover the full cost of your college education, books, and paid weekly study time are offered. You could earn your associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree(s)! Training and other mandatory workshops provided and reimbursed through SFQCC.
We invest a lot in our teachers and staff. We are looking for someone committed to working in this field long term and willing to grow with the SFQCC family!
Full-time employees are offered health insurance benefits with 50% covered by SFQCC for employee, dental and vision insurances offered and paid closings after 6 months of employment. PTO is gifted at the end of each fiscal year, up to 2 weeks. 50% discount for childcare for full-time employees.
